Should I use heat or ice? As a Chiropractor, patients often ask if they should use ice or heat for their injuries. This is an important question, because heat and ice have very different methods of action and are not always appropriate. Sometimes heat can even make the problem worse by bringing additional swelling and inflammation to an already inflamed area.
