Advice On Knee Pain

1. Stay Hydrated- Drink a minimum of 6-8 glasses of water each day to keep your joints lubricated.
2. Get Moving- I know the pain may make you not want to move, but it is important that you do, especially if you have a desk job. Make sure to stand up and stretch every 30 minutes, or even better get up and walk around if you can to keep your joints from stiffening up. This increases circulation and help provide your knees with the nutrients and oxygen they need.
3. Watch Your Weight- If you have been putting off starting a healthy new diet, start NOW. The extra weight you are carrying around will break down knee cartilage and make your pain worse.
4. Supplement with Fish oil – Some people have noticed a decrease in knee pain after introducing more fatty acids into their diet. Fish oil has other numerous benefits, so this extends beyond just knee pain relief.
5. Eliminate Grains – This is the toughest one, but eliminating wheat/grains/gluten from your diet can have a large impact on your health. Instead of your filling up on bread and pasta, eat more vegetables and fruits. Bonus-you most likely will lose weight doing this.
